The e-Shram Card is a centralized database launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment for unorganized workers in India. Upon registration, workers receive a Universal Account Number (UAN). This card helps the government deliver social security benefits, insurance coverage (like PMSBY), and relief during emergencies directly to the worker's bank account.

  • If you are an unorganized worker (Construction worker, migrant labor, street vendor, domestic worker, farmer, etc.).
  • If you are between the age of 16-59 years.
  • If you are not a member of EPFO or ESIC and do not pay income tax.
  • Step 1: Visit Official Portal: Go to the e-Shram self-registration link provided below.
  • Step 2: Self-Registration: Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and the Captcha code.
  • Step 3: OTP Verification: Enter the OTP sent to your phone.
  • Step 4: Aadhaar Integration: Enter your Aadhaar number and verify using OTP, Fingerprint, or Iris scan.
  • Step 5: Fill Personal Details: Your photo and basic info will be pulled from Aadhaar. Fill in additional details like address, education, and bank info.
  • Step 6: Occupation Selection: Search and select your primary and secondary occupations.
  • Step 7: Final Submission: Review the self-declaration and click "Submit". Your e-Shram Card (UAN) will be generated instantly for download.

If you need to update your address, mobile number, or bank account:

  • Visit the e-Shram portal and click on "Already Registered? Update".
  • Log in using your UAN number or Aadhaar.
  • Choose the section you wish to edit (e.g., Profile or Bank Account).
  • Update the info and save to generate an updated card.
